Maneet Chauhan Weight-loss: Diet Regimen, Workout, Prior to and After

The Indian-American chef has proved to be a perfect judge for the cooking shows. Maneet had many fans because of her amazing style of Punjabi cooking.

However, the breakthrough in her career came when she was selected as a judge on Food Network’s Chopped

Since then, Chauhan has worked as a judge on multiple shows. While being easy in judging others’ dishes, Maneet forgot to keep track of her health.

Gradually, she became overweight. Still, she didn’t give much attention to it. But as she saw her kids growing up, Maneet realized that it can have an impact on her children.

Chauhan decided to lose weight. She had never given much thought to her body image, she never care how she looked like.

But then Maneet realized that she wasn’t setting a good example for her kids. That they might also end up being obese. After all, it was a matter of health.

Maneet Chauhan’s Weight Loss Journey

Maneet was stuck in a dilemma. On the one hand, she had her work, which mainly consisted of eating food and judging it.

While, on the other hand, it was her picture in her kids’ minds. Chauhan said in an interview, “There was a lot of confusion. I couldn’t go on a restrictive diet like keto or paleo because I eat for a living”.

But she knew that these two things couldn’t go along. Maneet knew that she either choose to start a weight loss journey or continue the way she is.

And the idea of losing weight was like a passion to her. So she finally found a solution.

Maneet’s Diet Plan

Maneet knew that she had to continue the work she was doing which was eating food. However, one thing was in her control, limiting her calorie consumption. In her interview with Parade, Chauhan described her strategy as:

I kept to 1200 calories a day, which would pretty much start with me logging my two glasses of wine and two pieces of chocolate” Maneet had this in mind that she would end up consuming a lot of calories while on the show so she limited her food consumption while being at the home. Whenever Chauhan would have lunch or dinner at home she would eat green salad.

She also limited the consumption of sugar. In this way, Chauhan succeeded in losing 40 pounds. While being a judge on a cooking show.

When she appeared in the new season of Chopped, she made her fans shocked. This time it was fit and healthy Maneet Chauhan with a slim figure.

Maneet’s Workout Plan

Maintaining her calorie consumption wasn’t the only thing that Chauhan did to lose weight. She also took the help of the ancient Indian practice, Yoga.

After waking up early in the morning, Maneet would practice Yoga for half an hour. In this way, she burned calories as well as found peace of mind.

Before & After Weight Loss

After losing 40 pounds, Chauhan’s current weight is 150 Pounds. Her previous weight was 200 pounds.
