Life doesn’t improve by coincidence; it gets better by modification

Life doesn’t get better by chance; it gets better by CHANGE.

If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you probably know that I have suffered with the symptoms of ulcerative colitis for more than a decade.

For much of my experience, I relied on diets, medications, supplements, etc. to help me feel better. It’s almost like I didn’t trust that my body could heal itself.

Real quick…

I absolutely, 1000% believe there’s a time and place for medications. I spent years on biologics (Remicade, Entvvio, Stelera), and they allow me to LIVE my life. I am forever grateful for these medications and will ALWAYS support the research that is being done to allow IBD patients a live a full life.

I knew something needed to change.

In my case, however…

I saw these drugs stop working for me one-by-one, and I knew I couldn’t leave my health up to chance anymore and made it a point to CHANGE how I lived my life.

Full transparency, I didn’t have a choice when I made this decision…

I was house-bound, going to the bathroom 30+ times per day with bloody diarrhea, night sweats, hair falling out…

My health honestly couldn’t get any worse.

Then, I made this decision to change my life (and improve my health) while sitting on the couch in my basement, all alone, crying my eyes out, and haven’t looked back.

Nothing changes until YOU change.

  • I stopped working so much (aka waking up at 4 o’clock in the morning and working every weekend)
  • I hired a team and started to delegate tasks
  • I started talk therapy
  • I prioritized my sleep
  • I stopped exercising so hard
  • I stopped counting calories and started nourishing my body (with minerals)
  • I stopped drinking so much alcohol

None of this happened overnight, but I committed to actually CHANGING how I lived my life.

Life doesn’t get better by chance; it gets better by CHANGE.

If you want to hear more about my experience, check out EP117 of my podcast: What it looks like to ‘manage stress.’

And if you want to improve your health, it starts with radical change, an all-in commitment to yourself, and not half-assing it.

When you focus on true change and do it consistently day after day, your life (and health) will improve.

Are YOU ready to make a CHANGE in your life and health?
